Back to Zamalek

Tahrir Square seems to be stagnant at the moment but we’re getting serious word that there are groups patrolling the streets looking for foreigners, either roughing them up or taking their cameras and things.  Jesse and I are going to go ahead and try to get back to Zamalek at the moment.  Police and Army movements are one thing; they’re a variable you can know and plan around. Unruly mobs and groups of thugs are another thing entirely.  There are simply too many variables to keep a grasp of and too much anger all around for my comfort at the moment.

We’ll take stock of things from home and evaluate the next move.
