Violent Protests, Tom is safe

More violent clashes have broken out today between opponents and supporters of President Mubarak, but Tom’s mom spoke with him this morning and he is safe.

The internet in Egypt seems to have been restored, so hopefully Tom will be back on here to update you all soon!

I spoke with Tom about around 11:30 this morning. He was on the 27th floor of a hotel a block away from Tahrir Square with a crew from CNN. He says he is still safe. Let’s just keep hoping for the best!
